this is where i share my whole soul. i write about my struggles. my joys. my amazing life with my handsome husband. our photography company. our cat. wedding seasons. our travels. community. beer and coffee dates. probably lots about pizza, too. i believe that life is worth living. and sharing my story connects me to beautiful souls. i feel like i grow into a better human when i write and read stories. we all have something amazing to share with the world. this is my life in pink.

this week :: home life

time with my niece, emery ruth. it never gets old. every single time i see her she drops whatever she's doing to run as fast as her little body allows to jump into my arms. she is literally the sweetest thing there is. we had a picnic in the van at the park because it was too cold outside! mom and dad kept her for the weekend which they all love that time together. emmy says "i packed myself a juice box but i will share with you, aunt bethany" my.heart.melted
also i told her she's starting to run really fast and she says "well, yes, aunt beffy, that's because i practice and because i'm growing older" oh, my. yes, all too quickly.

 i love coconut water. it's kinda a weird taste and you have to get used to it but it's a strange kind of refreshing. and i love pink pants.
i loved this rainy day. i got a call from a bride who was the sweetest thing ever. she's a believer and i just knew it was in my Father's hands. sure enough she called a few days later to book their wedding with us. i could've cried.
also i can't get enough regina spektor. add some sondre lerche in there and i'm a happy gal.
we got to hang out with friends this week and that filled our hearts. husband had a really fun concert with his boyfriends and i kid you not, they came home and their behavior was that of 14 year old girls that just saw the backstreet boys. really. it was adorable. he talked about the concert all the way home. i thank God for these new men in my husband's life. they get to have such fellowship and fun together.

state fair pictures came in! i love seeing my work in print form and as soon as they got their package they put them up on the wall and sent me a picture of their hanging art! it was so special to see that. i love having a personal relationship with my couples!

i'm that strange lady that speaks to her cat like she's a human. a furry adorable human. she adds such fun in our lives! it's weird that husband and i could have so much love for this little creature.

us this week! we look the same. adorable and big eared (me)! :) he's getting better at posing for pictures. he looks like pretty boy here. those eyes! our kids don't stand a chance.

 glitter mason jar success! she's so pretty holding my color pens all nicely on my desk. it's the little things. or the stupid things as E would say. he knows nothing.

at the doctors office to catch one of the surgeons for their headshot. i love my job. so cool to have an opportunity to photograph really amazing doctors/surgeons/people who save.

of course it had to be at 8am because doctors have busy lives! they don't understand a self-employed photographer as myself might want to sleep til 10am.. hehe =D

but they were great and i got to hang with a friend while waiting.
and my favorite friend, coffee.
also, i apparently only wear colored pants. pink, red, purple or blue. i think that's okay. maybe?

plusalso, not enough Bible in my life this week. i was sick 2 days, i've had 4 sessions to edit and i've been allowing my time to be spent editing and in selfish ways. movies while editing, tv while eating lunch, texting, phone games, instead of refreshing my soul with God's Word. must do better starting today. the roofers are still doing their foot stomping roof thing so i've been drowning out the sound with loud tv/music. right now i'm listening to andrew peterson's behold the lamb of God. oh, my. goosebumps. my sister burned the disc for my birthday because i heard their church group sing it one year from easter and i feel in love with the words. if you love music and harmony and beautiful hopeful words, please listen to this song.

sorry for the cheesy video.  really.  close your eyes and listen. and worship
happy friday!
