oh, lately. || my random brain || love burt living || ethan and bethany burt

things lately :

chipotle burritos.
i don't think there is an attractive way to eat a fully loaded steak burrito from chipotle.
i don't even try.
when we're eating at chipotle i'm thankful that we're already married and i can ugly eat in front of
ethan and he still has to like me.

late night chats and smiles with ethan.
tonight was about one of our favorite dates ever.
listening to him retell the date as he felt & lived it was pretty sweet.
i love how his eyes dance when he shares his heart with me.

panty hose wearing.
i always used to hate panty hose.
now i think they're down right adorable and love wearing them with dresses.
i wonder why i hated them so much as a girl and gave my mom such heck.
i was a little twit.

my in-laws.
my mother-in-love came to stay over night with us.
she filled my heart with so much joy.
she's so sweet and loves me like her own daughter.
i am so thankful for her.
she's not afraid to share her heart and we have very honest and open conversations and also she brought me a bag of goodies so i told her she's welcome here anytime ;)
and then the next night ethan's dad stopped by to give us a gift of money for a date night.
like, legit just stopped by to tell us to go out to date each other.
that man.
he has a heart of gold.
he cares for his son so much and it's positively beautiful.
he also loves me like his own daughter and i feel at home with him.

my women.
i'm meeting tons of women and growing and doing life with them and my heart might burst.
many different life stories.
many different opinions.
many hurts and fears.
the same desire to know Jesus more.
we're sharing and we're building each other up.
it's powerful.
and also delicious because usually this is done over coffee and cinnamon rolls.

music.
my sister is awesome and she mailed me two new cds to enjoy.
i'm super enjoying new to me Twin Forks & their song "something we just know"
um. it's perfectly sweet. and i loves it.

our work.
it is an intense honor to capture wedding days.
it is so much more than a photo.
although the photos are pretty freaking great, too.
it's so much fun to snap a picture and see it in the back of the camera and just freak the heck out because it's so stunning. i love what i do. and i love yummy lighting and an in-love bride and groom.
but it's so much more than that.
it's about them. it's about their love.
it's about the promises of marriage.
we love marriage.
we absolutely value our marriage.
and we feel that we are part of more than just photographing, but we're part of the friendship and relationship with these couples. they become pieces of us.
we pray for them.
we cry for them.
we rejoice with them.
because of social media and text messaging, we get to stay in touch with them.
forever and ever.
it's awesome.

brooklyn nine - nine.
so. funny.
we like the funny.

watching the 2 year old.
we're watching a sweet baby boy 5 days a week.
ethan gets up with him at 5:30am which is a crazy early time that shouldn't exist.
he gets him back to sleep and has taught him to be quiet so i can sleep, too.
then as soon as i'm up around 8:30 or 9, he knows he can play.
he's such a great boy and i wouldn't mind have about 11 of our own like him.
watching ethan with him is just melting me.
as if i wasn't baby crazy enough as it is ;)

our home.
living together.
just us two. +cat.
in our little married life. in our little falling apart house.
it's so full.
my heart is so full.
